Replace Me

Good Morning Beautiful Women of God

This morning I was reminded of Psalm 138:8
The LORD will accomplish what concerns me; Your lovingkindness, O LORD, is everlasting; Do not forsake the works of Your hands. (NASB)

God will perfect that which concerns me!
All of us are going through something...
Many times we beg God to change the situation but He is waiting to change us in the situation! (Selah)

I am asking God to replace me (with more of Him) today
And I'm doing the same for you.
We have SO much to be thankful for! We are truly blessed!

Take Columbia SC for example, many people lost everything!  It makes our problems seem very minuscule in comparison to that...
So today I'm praying that we all take a step back from our circumstances and realize WHO is truly in control.
God's love for us is unfathomable (cannot be fully understood)

Let us rest in His Love today!
We are His creation and He will take care of us according to His Will.
Amen!

The Day the Hats Came Tumbling Down

Well, I guess it's about time for a 2015 post...
Wow is it really the end of July already??!!!

To say that I have been busy is really an understatement.  Since my last post, my husband and I celebrated our church's official One Year Anniversary.  Yes, Freedom Ministries Church & Outreach officially opened its doors February 2014!  Valentine's Weekend to be exact, what greater way to express the Love of Our Father.  I am raising four kids, ages range from 3-19.  I recently experienced the oldest (who is my Bonus Child) leaving the nest.  My husband works full time, and I am a WAHM or a Mompreneur (I like that term better).  I am a NC Real Estate Broker/Realtor®.  I (just like most of you) wear many hats!  Yes, God blessed me to be able to run my home and to still be able to bring in some income - Just like I desired - Ain't it funny how we tend to lose sight of that at times.

Let me tell you, there is something to be said about truly trying to raise your kids the right way read being led by God.  It's not easy (see my "Motherhood Is Not For the Faint at Heart" post) and a lot of times you find yourself looking right in the mirror at your own self...I know I do!  I just had one of those MOMents.  My kiddos are home for the summer with me, and can I be real with you?  Sure I can, this is my blog...Let me tell you, Honey, some days are definitely better than others!  Can you relate?  Some days I find myself in this groove; doing it all and doing it great!  I'm able to balance all of these hats on my head like no other.  This is what I've prayed for mind you.  But then (GASP), there are those dreaded days when I can't seem to prevent my hats from toppling to the ground!  And you should see me too; grasping frantically, panicking, and striving to keep them all on!  But you know what, it's in those Graceful Moments that I realize WHOSE I am, and WHY I am doing what I am doing (in the first place).

This morning I am reminded of WHO I am working for.  It's not so my husband and kids will praise me (although it would be nice every now and then).  It's not so my clients will write raving reviews about my business.  It's definitely not so the church members will place me on some sort of pedestal.  No, it is simply what I signed up for when I surrendered my heart to God.  I am reminded this morning "to do my work as unto The Lord and not man".  I read Colossians 3 and was quickly humbled.  Who exactly am I trying to please here?  My husband, kids, church, clients, myself??!!!  I am reminded of the quote, "You can please some of the people all of the time, you please all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time"

It's true that in all of our striving, the one that we should truly be striving to please is God.  So whoever you are, wherever you are, whatever you find your hands doing...Whether you're a Working Mom, SAHM, WAHM, Mompreneur, Single Mom, Whatever!  We are all servants (Matthew 20:28, Mark 10:45, Luke 22:26) and we should be serving with One Purpose and that is to Love with the Love of Christ and allow His Peace to rule in our hearts (Colossians 3:15).

Lord, I thank you right now for my sister who is reading this right now.  Lord, I ask that you show her exactly which areas in her heart that she needs to allow Your Peace to rule over.  Let Your Grace and (most importantly) Your Love overtake us.  Your Love covers a multitude, Father, so I ask that you cover us and give us the proper tools to use; the wisdom and discernment to know when to Rest and when to Go.  Strengthen every eye who beholds this blog on today, and let us not forget to be Thankful!
(In Jesus Name) Amen

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. (Colossians 3:15)

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. (Colossians 3:23-24 NIV)
